Reproduction
The breeding season of the Northern Spring Peeper begins in at the first hint of warm weather, usually in late February or early March. Each female can lay over 1000 eggs which will hatch in three to fifteen days depending on the weather.
Breeding sites
Males call the females from a small staked out territory of about one foot in diameter. It is common for them to call from vegetation that is above the water, rather than from calling in the water. The breeding grounds include flooded fields and ditches, swamps, and shallow ponds.
